i'm surprised it took me this long, but i'm out.

xanga, you have nothing left for me. almost all of my friends have moved on. heck, i've moved on. i just keep checking in to make sure you're alive.

it's not you, xanga, it's me. you've added some decent new features, but surgery isn't the answer. it's not all about looks and functions.

please don't cry.

did i overdue the $ sign's in the title?

lateley, i've been thinking a lot about my status in life, mainly in the way other people see me and see my status. i have never really been one to buy things b/c of how they would make me look to other people. i usually buy things b/c they are useful or i think they are cool. i don't own an ipod or a mac; i don't drive a cool car (although my wife drives a semi-cool car); i desperately need new clothes, but not b/c mine are out of style, but b/c i've gained weight and none of them fit me anymore; i don't have the best cell phone (it's not bad, plays mp3s but i can't send pic messages); what else is cool that i don't have? a dvr/tivo? (have a tivo but haven't paid the subscription, so, no go). HDTV? no.

what do you guys think?

this is not to say that i don't appreciate what i have. (besides my beautiful wife, amazing daughter, and wonderful parents, and an okay brother ;)) i have a dependable car, a house, a decent computer with dual 17" monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse (now all i need is some good speakers) and a tablet, a dad that will buy me all the tools i need (including a gas-powered blower), and food.

This is Week 2 of Jen's second spar with pneumonia.

Trinity is getting braver. Instead of just going to us, she's starting to take off towards chairs and stuff. This is when we have to REALLY watch her.

The 10 o'clock news has something about flamingos. Nothing must have happened in Oklahoma today.

Fox (the channel, not the news OR the animal) is pissing me off. I'm sure that American Idol is a great hit for them. But they are sacrificing good shows (*cough* House). I waited 3 weeks (I think) for a brand new episode and now I have to wait ANOTHER THREE FRIGGIN WEEKS FOR THE SEASON FINALE. It's a good thing I got '24' Seasons 3 and 4 and 'House' Season 1 on DVD for my birthday. Or else I'd have to go all Jack Bauer on someone's arse. Seriously, Fox, please realize where your quality shows are and where they're not.

Trinity is also making "r" sounds.

In fact, Jack Bauer is my new hero (in case I didn't mention it before). Jen and I got CTU ringtones on our phones. If you want the MP3, let me know.
