| did i overdue the $ sign's in the title?
lateley, i've been thinking a lot about my status in life, mainly in the way other people see me and see my status. i have never really been one to buy things b/c of how they would make me look to other people. i usually buy things b/c they are useful or i think they are cool. i don't own an ipod or a mac; i don't drive a cool car (although my wife drives a semi-cool car); i desperately need new clothes, but not b/c mine are out of style, but b/c i've gained weight and none of them fit me anymore; i don't have the best cell phone (it's not bad, plays mp3s but i can't send pic messages); what else is cool that i don't have? a dvr/tivo? (have a tivo but haven't paid the subscription, so, no go). HDTV? no.
what do you guys think?
this is not to say that i don't appreciate what i have. (besides my beautiful wife, amazing daughter, and wonderful parents, and an okay brother ;)) i have a dependable car, a house, a decent computer with dual 17" monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse (now all i need is some good speakers) and a tablet, a dad that will buy me all the tools i need (including a gas-powered blower), and food.
